Makoto is the third member of the Sailor Team to be discovered by [Sailor Moon](https://anilist.co/character/2030/Tsukino-Usagi), and serves as the "muscles" of the group. In addition to being physically tough, she is able to manipulate electricity and uses some plant-based powers. Her friends rarely use her full given name, normally shortening it to Mako-chan.
